The Role

Are you a talented, experienced Business Objects consultant who wants to join a growing, well-managed Company?

Avantias UK, a rapidly growing specialist in Content Intelligence Solutions, is looking for one or more experienced Business Objects consultants. The successful candidates will be responsible primarily for the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of Business Objects based solutions at customer sites including universe design and implementation and report creation.
 

Required skills and qualifications

• Proficiency in Business Objects Universe Designer and Data Integrator
• Up to date knowledge of Business Objects v6 and XI core products including:
• Desktop Intelligence
• Web Intelligence
• Business Objects integration products
• Crystal Reports
• Dashboard Manager
• Strong analysis and data modelling skills
• High level database design expertise in major Relational Database Management Systems e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting Business Objects XI
• Understanding of ETL processes
• Good knowledge of web technologies (HTML, XML), application server environments (ASP, .Net etc.) and web servers (Apache, IIS)
• Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Solaris, AIX etc.)
• Must be able to work alone or as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree or above in a scientific or technical field
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Be willing to travel 90% of the time if needed
• Good time management and organisational skills
   

Required experience

Qualified candidates will have acquired some or all of the following experience during at least 3 years of solution delivery experience:

• Experience of the full Business Objects implementation lifecycle
• Universe design and implementation
• Creation and amendment of reports
• Data integration experience
• Performance tuning Business Objects XI
